| Bio: | Background: Florina was born in the country of Ilia, the only land where pegasi are raised, who only allowed females to ride them. Ilia was covered in ice year-round, leaving the people there to turn to becoming mercenaries. Because of that, many countries looked down upon them. She lived with her two older sisters, Fiora and Farina. When she was little, she visited Ilia’s tallest mountain to wait for the Ice Dragon, according to legend, but only caught a cold instead and got scolded by her sisters. Also, when she was little, she attended a festival and climbed on top of a table of food to started to sing the Pegasus Counting Song to 100, though this memory would remain a source of embarrassment to her in the future. Fiora left to become a Pegasus knight, and because Florina admired her so much, she followed in her sister’s footsteps. In the beginning, she and her Pegasus, Makar, did not get along together very well, but through fun times and bad times and good times, they learned to become fast friends. In the Sacae Plains, she met Lyn because she had been attacked by a swarm of bees and been clutching onto a tree branch in an attempt to escape them. She and Lyn quickly became faithful friends and enjoyed many happy moments together. Florina was soon to take her full knighting ceremony by traveling with a band of freelance soldiers, but when she searched to talk to Lyn about it, she learned that Lyn had already left the plains with some strangers. She tried to find Lyn, but her Pegasus accidentally landed on a Ganelon bandit. When the thieves refused to take her apology, Florina found herself to be in a tight spot, but Lyn and her band fought against them and won. Florina agreed to complete her knighting ceremony by traveling with Lyndis’s Legion, since technically that would complete the requirements. Together, they fight Lungdren, Lyn’s grandfather’s brother, who wanted to take over the Caelin throne by poisoning Lyn’s grandfather. When they finally reach Castle Caelin, Florina was accepted into House Caelin, where she could continue to happily serve and protect Lyn. Her fear of men lessened slightly during this time. Castle Caelin is later attacked by soldiers from Laus, so Florina flies over the forest to try and tell Eliwood. However, some Laus archers fire at her and she ends up crashing on Hector. But she does tell Eliwood the message, and Castle Caelin is rescued from the Laus invaders. Florina continues to travel with them to stop Nergal’s evil plans of dragons and anarchy and hellfire, etc. They fight to prevent Ninian and Nils, their two dragon-y companions, from being used to open the Dragon’s Gate. In the end, Nergal manages to summon a dragon, whom they have to defeat. She always shared a complex relationship with her sisters. When Farina’s group of Pegasus knights almost died in the practice round, Fiora rescued them—at a high expensive fee that she continued to pay later on. This created tensions between Farina and Fiora, and Florina wished that they would make up. In the meanwhile, this created the sharp contrast of personalities in her sisters—the serious Fiora, who Florina admired and followed into knighthood, and the money-loving Farina, brimming with self-confidence. Florina later meets them both along their journey to defeat Nergal. In particular, she meets Fiora and convinces her to join their group, since Fiora had been on a mission from Lord Pent where the rest of her group had died around her. Farina joins after a talk with Lord Hector. After defeating Nergal, Florina would return to Ilia where her shyness would make her strong within, after her friend Lyn abdicated rule of Caelin. In the alternative ending, if she is supported with Hector, she would aid Hector (the new marquees of Ostia) and give birth to Lilina. And just a general overview of the game: Nergal wants to open the Dragon’s Gate, except he’s doing a weird sucking-magic-souls-absolute evil thing, so Lyn, Eliwood, and Hector (and Florina, of course) travel to stop it. Along the way, they meet Nils and Ninian, who are actually dragons, but they don’t know that in the beginning, but still protected them anyway when Nergal needed them to open the Gate. Eliwood’s father died a little after he released Nils from Dread Isle, and the trio of Lordlings continued to travel and fight to save the world, leading up to an ultimate final battle where either Nils or Nils and Ninian must go through the Gate and never return to finally seal the Gate. Personality: Florina, in the beginning, is incredibly shy and hesitant. And has this large overwhelming fear of men. It took her two tries and her Pegasus to get her to even thank Hector for being her pillow during her crash-course landing when she had to talk to Eliwood. She also cries easily (if someone around her is crying, it’s highly likely Florina will start bawling as well) and is emphatic to both animals and humans. She also has a more reasonable fear of archers, since she is a Pegasus knight and vulnerable to their arrows. Though she is kind and caring, she often finds it difficult to talk to people, with the exception of Lyn, her sisters, and a few other selects. She is very coddled in the beginning of her life. After becoming a Pegasus knight, she grows in strength and makes astonishing leaps in her confidence and ability. Although on a normal scale she still shies away from being confident, those who knew her before (Lyn and Florina’s sisters) all remark that she had changed for the better. Still, she remains as caring as always, and even more determined to continue to grow stronger and more confident so that she is fully capable of protecting her loved ones faithfully, even though she must part with her native country. (Though her fear of men can still often trip her up.) In many senses, she still remains a little girl who believes in dreams, but has now become someone stronger. | ||
